Dr. Rimpa Jaiswal is a distinguished scientist with deep expertise in the synthesis of nanomaterials and their nanocomposites, particularly for defense applications such as microwave absorption in stealth technology and energy storage. With a rich background in interdisciplinary areas of chemistry, Dr. Jaiswal's work spans material chemistry, conducting polymer science, and the synthesis of organic and inorganic materials, including graphene and other 2D materials. Her extensive experience includes synthesizing these materials via chemical, ball milling, hydrothermal, and solid-state methods, and studying them using various advanced spectroscopy techniques.
Dr. Jaiswal earned her Doctorate in Chemistry from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, where she conducted research at the Defence Materials and Stores Research and Development Establishment (DMSRDE) under DRDO. Her doctoral research focused on the synthesis, characterization, and property evaluation of fullerene-containing photoactive materials.
Before joining Azygos Innovations, Dr. Jaiswal held research positions at prestigious institutions including Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and DMSRDE. Her work at BARC involved the synthesis of 2D materials and lithium-based materials for energy storage applications, high-pressure Raman and XRD studies, and the development of synchrotron and neutron beamlines. At DMSRDE, she contributed to the development of microwave-absorbing materials for EMI shielding applications, with a focus on the microstructural analysis and electromagnetic properties of these materials.
Dr. Jaiswal has a robust portfolio of international publications and conference presentations, reflecting her contributions to the field of material science. Her work has been recognized in various high-impact journals, and she has authored book chapters on topics related to 2D materials and their applications in energy storage and sensing.
